We sin by thinking wrong, taking wrong actions, speaking evil, and not conforming to God’s character (going against His nature and His will). Our human flesh is weak; we give in to sinful temptations easily which not only defile us but keep us separated from God.
The good news is that we need NOT to stay stuck in our misery, as God gives us a way out through His son, Jesus Christ, who is THE Savior (the One who saves) of this world. Jesus died for our sins at the Cross, so we can be set free from its deadly and pervasive consequences. How do we feel when someone pays our debt/loan and sets us FREE? To say the least ~ grateful and appreciative. This is exactly what Jesus did at the Cross. He died a BRUTAL death for you and I, so we can be set FREE from all of ours and our ancestors wrongdoings against God. The punishment we deserve to receive for our sins, Jesus took it upon Himself. Who does that? Do we even see or realize it? Do we have a genuine appreciation for what Jesus went through at the Cross? Have we thanked Him enough? God is waiting and ready to receive you and I with His open arms. It’s that simple. Come to Him with a repentant and broken heart, as He knows what we all have been through. It’s time; don’t let a single moment of our lives pass by without knowing Him and having a personal relationship with Him. EASTER (April the 4th) is around the corner; visit any Bible church which believes in the teachings of Jesus Christ. Jesus will meet and touch you personally beyond your imagination! This is what happened to me when I went to His church for the first time and encountered Him one on one! Give Jesus a chance; guarantee you will NOT be disappointed.

Christ promises a thousand-generational blessing for our families. The healing we receive today from God will have a generational impact.
Are we ready to set our children and their generations free from trauma and diseases we inherited from our ancestors? If so, let's stand in the gap, petition to God, and grab hold of God's healing for us and for them. God has His amazing way to reach out to my Jewish friend. She is the one who told me in the recent past that the HEALING I received from God was just for me and it's not for everyone else. Yesterday, I spoke with her over the phone, and she expressed her concerns about not being able to sleep at night for the past five weeks. She told me, “I have been taking sleeping pills before going to bed at night but that’s not helping me. I wake up around 2 am every morning which makes me restless. I can’t seem to go back to sleep after I am awake.” I told her, “I will be praying for you and asking Jesus to give you sleep and take away the pain you are experiencing in your shoulder.” This morning, she sent me a sweet note, “Thank you for your constant concern and for your prayers, Mamta. I slept much better last night. The pain was less when I awoke and I went back to sleep. This morning I found myself in another position that was comfortable!!!” Believing that my friend will make a note and realize that Jesus loves her as much as He loves everyone else. His Healing is not just for a few but for the entire world. Jesus met her where she was and perhaps answered her doubts or questions on the subject of HEALING. Let’s keep sharing Jesus' love to the broken and hurting world we all live in. His divine intervention is very much needed in our lives whether we realize it or not. 11Charles Balan, Richard Dial and 9 others 1 Comment Like Comment Share Recently, I had a great conversation with a college going girl on the subject of FASTING. She told me, “There is NO such a thing as FASTING in Christianity, and I love how other religions have days/dates set aside for fasting which I miss out.” She even gave me an example that believers don't fast on Easter or Christmas or any other day in particular. She is fascinated about fasting and wants to fast.
I tried explaining to her that there are 2 types of fasting ~ one led by God and other based on religious dates and rituals (the one she was talking about). I told her, “I am familiar with the religion/ritual based fasting. In the past, I used to fast on specific days of the month, certain days of the week to appease my Hindu god/goddess, and I would even fast for auspicious festivals. It certainly helped discipline me and cleanse me from my toxic thoughts/emotions, but it wasn’t God led.” I further told her that FASTING is very much prevalent in Christianity. Jesus himself has set an example for us when he fasted for 40 days. There are stories after stories of people in the Bible who fasted as and when they wanted God’s intervention in their difficult situations. They didn’t follow any religious rules or specific dates for fasting. They simply inquired of God first and then fasted based on His instructions. Joel 2:12, "Even now,” declares the LORD, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning.” Nehemiah 1:4, "When I heard these things, I sat down and wept. For some days I mourned and fasted and prayed before the God of heaven." Matthew 4:1-2, "Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. And after fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry." As a matter of fact, Christians fast even today as and when the Holy Spirit prompts them to do. I told her that it’s best to wait and be led by God as far as fasting goes rather than doing it for the sake of some religious obligation or performance. God led fasting will ALWAYS bring godly and fruitful results! She was surprised to hear all about it, so I suggested that she should read the Bible in order to have a better understanding on the subject of FASTING. Believing the Holy Spirit will guide her, minister to her, and give her revelation on this topic. |
