 Prayer is the way we communicate with God. Prayer is the way we ask God to bring things into existence. Prayer is the way God fulfills His heart desires in our lives. Prayer is the way we come in alignment with God’s will and purpose. Prayer is the way we petition to God for our loved ones, friends, neighbors, and even strangers’ salvation. Pray without ceasing is what God desires of us. Jesus told his disciples in Matthew 26:41, “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

I remember the day I was ministering to Hindus in the busy marketplace of New Delhi, India. An educated gentleman who was standing near by approached me and asked, “What are you doing here?” I could tell that he was curious and wanted to know my reason for praying over others’ need.
As I shared briefly with him about who Jesus is and His healing power, he listened and nodded. This helped him to share his health struggle of the last 12 years dealing with depression, severe headaches, and sinus with me. He had been to many medical doctors and taken their prescribed medicine. He even prayed to many Hindu gods and sought out their healing blessings. He even went to a mosque and received the healing prayers. But none of the avenues he tried helped improve his situation. I could tell that he was tired of searching for a solution to his problems. He asked me a question, “Where is God?” This was exactly my QUESTION before coming to Christ, “Where is God?” Finally, Finally, someone asked and this time, I had the answer to his question! It took me decades to find the answer but now, I could share what I found and show him the path of THE One True God. The MYTH, “All PATHS lead to God” is NOT true at all. Only ONE PATH leads to God which is the path of Jesus Christ. Only Jesus can reveal this TRUTH to people at their appointed time else they will continue to believe the lie just like I did and be lost. When I shared about Jesus and what He did on the cross, it opened his eyes. I could tell he wanted to know more about Jesus and His teachings first. He even accepted prayers from me in Jesus’ name! God touched him, as he contacted me after a couple of days telling me that he has been feeling so much better and even watched Jesus’ movie. He plans to read the Gospel to know Jesus and wants to visit a church on Sunday. Praise the Lord! God answered him when his heart was ready to receive the answer for his long awaited quest and question, “Where is God?” 1) Let us learn to appreciate who we are created to be, as God has wonderfully and beautifully made each one of us in our mother’s womb.
Psalm 139, 13:14, “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” 2) Let us stay connected with our true identity in Christ, as we are created after the likeness of our Heavenly Father. John 1:11-13, “He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him. He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.” 3) Let us use our God given unique nature, talents and abilities to honor Him and bless others, as this is the will of God. 1 Peter 4:10, “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” |
